Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the Samuel Gomez is an artist and designer who lives and works in New York. Gomez's style incorporates a "hybrid Surreal-steampunk" aesthetic and tools are graphite, pen, acrylic paints and inks. The Gomez has worked over a decade as an illustrator for some of the largest design firms in New York and Chicago. In an ambitious work of art titled "Deadpan Comedy", the Gomez painted a monumental triptych for the competition ArtPrize 2013, graphite and ink on paper measuring 5,48 x1, 5 meters.
