4. John the Baptist points cord strap to Jesus, saying:

Notes of homily. Sunday 2nd. B. Year | Parishes of St. Feliu de Guíxols
Samuel answered, "Here I am."
that the Lord was calling the boy,
Do you not know that your bodies
At that time
what John said and had followed Jesus
During these Sundays is "continuous reading" of the Gospel corresponding (This year plays "Framework"), cord strap skipping, but those fragments that have been or will be read on Sunday of "strong cord strap time" (Cycles Christmas and Easter).
Apart from the corresponding evangelist, some Sundays we read the Gospel of John, which in itself is not so very different from the other three, cord strap and, therefore, difficult cord strap to adapt to the scheme inspired by the liturgical synoptic .
1. The gospel presents John the Baptist doing their job: to note the arrival of Jesus. When you see "Jesus went" communicates to his disciples that the time has come to follow Jesus; and they do.
"Jesus went." This expression has a meaning "strong." John is in the desert, across the Jordan. "Pass the Jordan" means "to enter the Promised Land." The mission of the Precursor was noted "first citizen and guide" of the new "Promised Land."
2. The story today reveals that the Promised Land is not a place but a company. When the two disciples of John follow Jesus, he asked them what they want. They will respond with another question: Master, where you stay? Come and see, says Jesus. They are invited to "come" to his company.
3. The translation of the Missal says "stayed with him that day." It seems that would be better translated saying "stayed cord strap with him since that day." Thus begins the New Community (The Gospel of John hardly used the expression "kingdom of God").
4. John the Baptist points cord strap to Jesus, saying: "Behold cord strap the Lamb of God." The lamb was the symbol of the first Covenant. To exit the Country of Slavery, Moses ordered the Israelites to dinner with a lamb (the "Passover") to join forces to undertake the way to Sinai, where they would receive the 10 Commandments. But that 1st Alliance was provisional and final preparation that comes with Jesus. Now this is not going to go into Sinai but the community where the experience of love shared; and the food is no longer a lamb but every member of the community.
The community is the "place" of the New Covenant. The way to "enter" and how to maintain them is "getting food from each other." cord strap Jesus begins by making their lives a life given, "Lamb of God". With this expression John the very root of the reality of Jesus and ours. Saying "see the Lamb of God," John's Gospel says exactly the same as in the Gospel of Luke, Mary wanted to mean the action of "putting the child in the manger."
But since the beginning of John's Gospel presents another "disciple" who, by contrast, is not a model to follow. This "disciple" appears so far in this first encounter Jesus as the end of the Gospel in the last encounter cord strap with Jesus-risen. Between cord strap these two "extremes", telling cord strap the Gospel story we need to convert this "disciple" that the culmination of the life of Jesus will deny it altogether ("three times").
6. This disciple Simon says (which means: welcomed). But in this first encounter, Jesus called "Simon, son of John." It seems that, in this case, the expression "son of John" you mean John the disciple par excellence. " Like the previous two disciples, Simon is one of the disciples of John, but have not heard (not accepted) the words of his teacher about Jesus, and followed Jesus. He who is not Jesus but that accompanies his brother. Before Jesus, Simon says nothing or have any reaction (not "tune" with him). However, it will be a "disciple unconditional" but still be "the son of John." This will lead eventually to deny Jesus.
7. Jesus "looked at him" cord strap (that is a sign of her love for him), and then makes the first serious cord strap warning: To you we say "Peter", which means "stone". Be disciple "hard". cord strap Until the end no longer "soften".
Jesus puts the name "Peter" (as it seems to imply in the Gospel of Matthew [16,18)]) but warns that it will be known as "stone." In fact, never in John's Gospel, Jesus goes to him telling him "Peter"; always says "Simon, son of John." However, when the evangelist speaks of him, he always says Simon-Peter and sometimes just Peter.
8. "Peter" is very important in all the Gospels cord strap and in John. Embodies the wrong way, but frequent, be "disciple." Need constant warnings of Jesus, until it becomes. It represents so many "disciples" cord strap who follow Jesus without "out" of the scope of Joan. The "problem" is this: to follow Jesus, to
